The Chi Rho (☧) is one of the oldest Christian symbols, or Christograms, created by superimposing the first two capital letters—chi (X) and rho (P)—of the Greek word for Christ, ΧΡΙΣΤΟΣ (Christos). It’s often used as a symbol of Jesus’s resurrection and victory.

Surrounding the Chi Rho is the Rwandan sun, a symbol of light, renewal, and hope. The sun is also a shared motif between Rwanda and South Dakota, reflecting the global and local relationships that shape our church’s identity. Together, these elements express the light of Christ and the hope we share in him.
